About Us

I am Laura J. Middour, I have always had a passion for photography growing up with two artistic parents and siblings. I was always the friend that had a camera on me at any moment and in 2008 I attended my first week of Texas School of Professional Photographers. Here i was engrossed with like minded people who saw the world how i did- through the lens of a camera. I became confident in my talents and was at a point to take my love of photography to the next level. When i got home from my first course at Texas School I started my photography company LJPhotography and started to build my portfolio.

I have a unique style of capturing images, i typically take a photo jurnalism approach to photography. I capture moments of natural expressions and interactions with family members or surroudings with minimal posing. I feel this style works best for families and small children capturing a Natural Image that you will love for many years to come. Young children and babies are my ultimate favorite thing to photograph, i am still a child at heart and i get to "play" during each and every photoshoot with my clients. I have been know to dance around, jump, make funny noises, and contort my face to create the perfect shot. This also gives the parents something to laugh at as well, creating a really fun moment in time. I love using bright splashes of color with layers of depth with unique backgrounds and minimal props.

I have returned to Texas School of Professional Photographers three more times, studing everything from Weddinging Photogaphy, Dramatic Fashion Photography, and Natural Light family portrait photography. I will continue to attend so as to learn and grow within this industry and keep my mind creative. I believe its important to never stop learning and creating.

I spend a lot of time editing my images to make my work the best for my clients. I am willing to travel around south Texas and love to explore new places. My prices are very competive and CDs are available for every photoshoot with print releases. Let me capture the precious moments in your life!
